If ever proof were needed about Core CNC’s formidable reputation for fully assured quality, one hundred percent reliability and precision engineering excellence, then the latest order to leave the company’s Dukinfield workshop is confirmation indeed.
This mightily impressive project, which was the company’s largest ever order, included a number of various sized aperture covers destined for use on some of the Middle East’s most important oil and gas pipelines. The main pieces were produced on our CNC Milling plant and measured up to 700mm in length by as much as 300mm wide. They were all machined out of 316 stainless steel and in compliance with our customer’s demanding specifications, they included a number of spherical cut-outs on the base to facilitate and guarantee the crucial accuracy required for precision positioning and fitting onto the actual pipelines themselves.
In addition to the main pieces we also machined a considerable number of accessories and fittings to accompany the covers, using our top-specification CNC Turning technology. These included bespoke mountings and brackets that were a vital requirement for the final application.
All the individual pieces were engineered in accordance with our customer’s drawings and specificationbrief, but as part of our fully comprehensive service we sourced all the materials and oversaw the pre-production water-jet cut profiling before machining everything to the critical finished dimensions.
